Sound Bath 4 Peace

By Sara Auster & Alex Falk

"Sound Bath 4 Peace" is an original sound meditation recorded with the intention of creating space for listeners to access a moment of pause, ease and calm. Let the sounds of crystal singing bowls, chimes and other highly resonant acoustic instruments guide your experience and ground you in the present moment. Below are some instructions on how to prepare yourself and your space for a sound bath. We encourage you to read these instructions before you press play. Enjoy.

1. Clear all distractions (e.g.,: “do not disturb” mode on your phone, ). Create a soothing environment for yourself.
2. Get comfortable. Sitting or lying down is fine. Although you’re free to adjust your body throughout the experience, choose a position that you can be still in for the duration of the sound bath.
3. Close your eyes (or cover them with eye mask) and take 3 deep breaths. Inhale for 4 counts through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Then return to the natural breath.
4. Turn your attention to your listening. Allow and accept the sounds as they are. Focus on the sound and the contrast it leaves in the room after it fades away.
5. After your practice repeat to yourself 3 things you are grateful for that bring you a sense of peace.
