About the Artist

Nyah Hardmon is a music journalist who has worked with Universal Music Group, Beats By Dre, Howard University’s WHBC and Washington D.C.’s WHUR. As a writer, she has written for the Washington Independent Review of Books, Poetry Magazine, TeenEye Magazine, Affinity Magazine, Howard University’s Jade Magazine, Howard University’s Sterling A. Brown English Society Magazine and The Hilltop. She has done podcast work with the South Florida nonprofit organization Art Prevails Project and the New York based nonprofit organization HBCU First. Her poetry has been nationally recognized by the YoungArts Foundation, SoFar Sounds and the United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts Program.
