About the artists

Ali Ahmadifar

Ali Ahmadifar (born 1976, Tehran) is a composer, a musicologist, and an educator of composition and musical styles and history in Iran. He studied classical harmony and contemporary styles with Maestro Keyvan Mirhadi. His works have been performed in Europe and Iran. One such example is a performances by MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2006 at the main annual program of the orchestra. He has taught at the School of Music of Guilan University. He is the author of two books entitled, "Pluralism in Post-Tonal Music" and "The Study of the Arvo Pärt's Music." He has also been the scientific editor for many technical international papers on music. He has lectured on different musical research topics and has been the editor in chief of the radio program, "Contemporary Music," broadcast on the Cultural Radio of Iran.
