Dentro

By Teatro Inominável

A 40-year-old woman returns to her family's house for a coffee with her dead ancestors. Getting in touch with her past memories, she dives deep into a process of self-knowledge, questioning her choices and her place in the world today. Written by Diogo Liberano, directed by Natássia Vello, performanced by Laura Nielsen and assistance direction and production by Clarissa Menezes, "dentro" is part of the celebrations of 10 years of the Rio de Janeiro's company Teatro Inominável. The monologue presents a consideration about a particular bond between a personal and subjective story and a more general and objective one, the history of Brazil.

The play "dentro" premiered in April 2019 at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. After the opening season, it was performed in the 5th Midrash Theater Festival, in the Solo Brasileiro exhibition, by Solos - Mostra de monólogos Teatrais, also in Rio followed by Second Mostra Frente Teatro RJ at Teatro Raúl Cortez in Duque de Caxias (RJ) in February 2020. In November 2020 the project was part of the festival Em Casa com SESC, by SESC SP. And in February 2021, through the Aldir Blanc Law, the company showcased the project, renamed as "dentro das casas" and "dentro das redes", this time performing the monologue on streaming and offering others complementary online events.
